At Gaia's Collective, we are committed to revolutionizing landscapes into bountiful, edible ecosystems, fostering a global movement towards sustainable living. Our mission is to empower individuals worldwide to cultivate their own nourishment and reconnect with nature. Through innovative practices, community education, and heartfelt dedication, we strive to transform ordinary spaces into vibrant, productive gardens, reducing food miles and nurturing a profound relationship with the earth.

About

Gaia's Collective is a visionary company dedicated to reshaping the way we interact with our surroundings. Our focus is on transforming conventional landscapes into thriving edible gardens that nourish both people and the planet. We are not just a landscaping company; we are agents of change, advocates of sustainability, and educators of self-sufficiency.

Through our comprehensive workshops and online resources, we empower individuals to become stewards of their own food sources. From cultivating mushrooms in the coziness of homes to implementing permaculture principles in outdoor spaces, we guide communities in embracing regenerative practices that contribute to a healthier environment.

Our roots are firmly planted in the Bay Area, where we take pride in converting lawns into lush, productive gardens. By doing so, we make locally grown, organic produce accessible to more individuals while minimizing the ecological footprint. We are passionate about reducing the use of harmful chemicals, employing natural methods and bio control techniques to ensure the health of both consumers and the ecosystem.

But our vision extends beyond gardening. We are dedicated to facilitating change in low-income households, providing them with the tools and knowledge to create their own edible havens. By allocating a portion of our profits to fund such projects, we foster inclusivity and equity in our mission.

Our core activities encompass not only landscape design and installation but also ongoing maintenance. With meticulous attention to quality, aesthetics, and competitive pricing, we ensure that every garden we create is a testament to our commitment. Strong customer relationships are the cornerstone of our business, reflected in our on-site consultations, responsive support, and continuous improvement through customer feedback.

From residential homeowners to commercial enterprises and beyond, our diverse customer segments inspire us to tailor solutions that meet unique needs. Through a combination of online platforms, advertising, and word-of-mouth, we strive to communicate our message of transformation far and wide.

Join Gaia's Collective on this transformative journey. Together, we will cultivate flourishing edible gardens, forge profound connections with the natural world, and revolutionize the way we nourish ourselves and our planet.

Our Team

  • Griffin Walsh

Griffin Walsh is a mycologist specializing in reducing the tech and capital requirements needed to grow culinary or medicinal mushrooms. He has spent his winters teaching about mushroom cultivation at the fungi academy in Guatemala. He spent his final year of education researching the effects of reduced climate controls on oyster mushroom growth at UC Berkeley. He truly believes that mushroom cultivation is the key to revolutionizing our current Agricultural systems and completing our healthy ecological cycles. If he can help others take part in this transformation he will be a very happy human.

  • Brigitte Jaramillo

Brigitte Jaramillo is passionate about making fresh, organic produce accessible for all. She strongly believes in the power of teaching communities how to cultivate their own food. Raised in a food desert, she has experienced the difficulties of low-income families not having access to healthy food. Being apart of the Latinx community, she is greatly passionate about ensuring Latin American countries are not being abused for their exports. As an environmentalist, she believes growing food locally is the solution to reduce CO2 emissions and help conserve rainforests in Latin America. Her vision is for a healthier, kinder, just planet for all.

  • Annikah Peabody

Annikah Peabody is a passionate garden designer who is fascinated by the intersection between supporting the local ecology and cutting edge design. Her designs are inspired by nature and she attempts to capture its essence while creating usable spaces that support wildlife and food production. She is influenced by designers such as Piet Oudolf, who is known for his naturalistic planting schemes, but with a permaculture twist, which is a design system that mimics natural ecosystems and promotes sustainability. She has been designing and installing gardens for five years, creating beautiful and functional landscapes that enhance the environment and the well-being of her clients.
